Hello Clement from Westcoast here.
Christmas is at the end of December, but in the meantime, there are many events to be involved in while waiting for the holiday to arrive!
Here are just a few that may be of interest to everyone!
The Capilano Suspention bridge is popular during most of the year. This event makes it a bigger attraction by adding hundreds of thousands of lights, as well as specially decorated walkways, a rainforest section and much more! Other enjoyable activities include decorating gingerbread houses and making your own Christmas cards. A great event to attend with a group of friends.
When: November 24th to January 8th, 11 AM – 9 PM
Tickets: $39.95 per adult, tickets one at https://estore.capbridge.com/estore/Content/Commerce/Products/DisplayProducts.aspx?ProductGroupCode=20&ProductCategoryCode=80&AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1
The Vancouver Christmas Market
Every year, despite the cold weather and rain, many people gather to take a walk through this German-inspired Christmas market downtown. The market offers food, drinks, live entertainment among other things, and is also a great place to buy specially made items from local sellers. A great way to find a gift for someone special!
When: November 26th to December 31st, 11 AM – 9 PM
Where: Jack Pool Plaza, 1055 Canada Place
Tickets: $8 available online at https://store.vancouverchristmasmarket.com/tickets#/events/10
Robson Skating Rink
One of my favourite things to do in the winter time is ice skating. With other friends, it’s a great activity to do whether you have done it before, or if you have never skated, and the Robson Skating Rink makes it cheap and an enjoyable experience at the same time! For just $4, you can put on a pair of skates and relax after a long day, and try out one of Canada’s favourite Holiday pastimes!
When: December 1st to February 28th, Sunday to Thursday 9 AM – 9 PM, Friday and Saturday 9 AM – 11 PM
Where: Robson Square, 800 Robson Street
Price” $4 for skate rentals
