Hello everyone! Clement here.
Vancouver is a city that is made up of many people from different cultures. One of the easiest ways to see this is through the restaurants that are offered in the city, and the ocasional food festival. Perhaps one of the most famous is Dine Out, which happens once a year in February, where typically expensive restaurants such as the Keg take their normally expensive menus and lower the prices on selective items and combinations. This provides people living in Vancouver a chance to experience some fancier restaurants they may normally not have the budget to afford.
This year, Vancouver’s Chinese food community is taking on a similar challenge with the Chopstick Fest Chinese Food Festival. Running from October 15th to 30th, at many different restaurants, from all over the many regions of China. This will not only give people the chance to try new food and learn that Chinese food is not just about fried rice and sweet and sour pork, but will also hopefully give Chinese Canadians a chance to try restaurants in Vancouver they may not even know existed. A new event in 2016, this is sure to be one that everyone will enjoy, especially those who like trying new and interesting types of food!
